Our People
|
|
At RVT we know that the quality of a company is directly related to the quality of its people.
Our goal is to create the next generation of leaders and innovators in electronics automation and integration.

Our Process
Our job starts the minute we meet you!
Planning & Preparation
Today’s computerized and networked electronics require not only knowledge of
electronics technology but expertise in design, engineering and communications, too.
At RVT, we know that careful planning and design are necessary for any successful
electronics systems project.
We believe in teamwork and you are our most important member.
Together, we will work with you to develop a technology solution that will optimize both the
performance of your system and your budget.
First Consultation
At our first meeting we will do a walk-through of your home or business to discuss your
needs and explore the possibilities that are available to you. From there, for projects of a smaller
scope, we will provide you with a quotation based on your budget and technology requirements.
For larger projects, RVT will meet with your architect or designer to create a solution that seamlessly
integrates your technology into your home design.
Design & Proposal
If the project is large in scope and requires a substantial amount of design and engineering,
RVT will first outline a scope of work for the project, providing an overview of your system.
At this point, once the scope of work has been defined, we move to a contracted design phase.
The design phase is an important time for us to gather detailed information about you, your
family and your home. After analyzing your space and discussing your goals and needs with
you, your architect or designer, we'll draw up a proposal that fits your goals and lifestyle into
your space. The scope of the project can be discussed, as well as the budget and timeframe.
Focus points of the home:
- Home Theatre / Entertainment Center
- Audio & Video Systems
- Security: Surveillance & Access Control
- Computer Networking
- Climate Control (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning control)
- Communications (intercom and telecommunications)
From there, we design the systems and create a custom detailed proposal that includes pricing for
products and labour.
Engineering & Documentation
Once you have signed off on the design and proposal, the system is engineered and diagrams
produced that illustrate equipment connections and rack layouts. We'll provide you with the
schematics that will be used by RVT technicians to assemble the equipment.
Product Procurement
As soon as we know the system requirements, RVT will order all the equipment required for
the project. We appreciate as much lead time as possible for this stage of the process and advise
our clients that, in some circumstances, equipment delivery timeframes can range from four to
six weeks.
Project Management
For projects of a larger scope, RVT’s project manager will work closely with electricians,
cabinetmakers, site supervisors and contractors to ensure your project is on time and on budget.
Structured Wiring
Once your contractor has completed the electrical work, RVT technicians will pre-wire all
communications networks needed for your system. This includes computer and telephone
networks as well as wiring for satellite, television, audio, CCTV and security. All communication
links are tested for quality and reliability.
Assembly & Programming
When your home is in the finishing stage and/or when all of your equipment has arrived, RVT
technicians will “stage” the systems at our facility. This includes assembling the equipment racks
and installing interconnects.
At this point, the system is programmed and tested. During this phase, RVT will work with
you to create a thoughfully designed, graphically-rich GUI (graphical user interface) for your
system controller.
Our technicians program the touch pads, key pads and computers based on your specific
needs and lifestyle requirements.
Final Installation
Trim plates, speakers and control panels are installed during your home’s finishing stages.
Computers, plasma displays, speakers are then installed with your racked equipment and final
testing is completed.
Training
Once your customized system has been installed, our RVT technicians will show you how to
get the most from your technology. Learn how to adjust settings, power equipment on and off,
and use your touchscreen controls. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or try a button out for the
first time with a technician - they’re truly happy to help and dedicated to providing you with the
best service experience possible.
Troubleshooting
Your satisfaction is our priority. Our technicians - experts in troubleshooting - will complete any
project mid-stream.
